Intelligence & investigative support
An internal investigation from report to measures
A methodically led response to suspected fraud, abuse of authority or other misconduct — with purpose, legal basis and evidence handling defined up front.
IVSR helps the organization handle suspected fraud, abuse of authority, theft, conflict of interest, data leakage, harassment or other misconduct.
Before work begins, the purpose and scope of the investigation are defined, together with the questions to be resolved, the responsible persons, the legal bases, the way material is protected and the reporting lines. This reduces the risk of rash interventions, data loss and inconsistent decision-making.
Possible scope
The scope follows the questions the engagement must answer — not the other way round.
- 01Initial assessment of the report and of the risks to people, data, assets and the further procedure.
- 02Preparation of an investigation plan and working hypotheses.
- 03Preservation of available documentation and digital sources.
- 04Review of business processes, events, communication metadata and connections.
- 05Conducting or coordinating interviews.
- 06Regular alignment with the client's legal, HR or compliance function.
- 07Preparation of findings, a statement of limitations and a proposal of measures.
You receive
An investigation plan, a material register, a timeline, a findings report, a management summary and an action plan.
Who it is for
For companies, public institutions, municipalities, supervisory boards, audit committees, and legal and HR functions.
Limitations and boundaries
- IVSR leads the methodological, analytical and advisory part. Acts that require special statutory powers or a detective licence are performed by DVA or another authorised provider.
- Material is handled under procedures designed for evidentiary use; its procedural admissibility and evidentiary weight are decided by the competent authority.
The concrete scope of the engagement is set after verifying its purpose, the client's authority, the legal basis, proportionality and technical feasibility. Where necessary, measures to reduce the intrusion into privacy, retention periods, access rights and the manner of documenting the handling of material are agreed before work begins.
Who performs what
- IVSR
- Research, advisory, methods and training
- Detektivsko varnostna agencija (DVA)

A confidential introductory conversation
Every engagement starts with a confidential conversation in which we jointly verify the purpose, the authority and the feasibility. Only then do we propose the scope and the way of working.
