Cookie policy
This policy lists everything this website stores in your browser — by name, lifetime and purpose. It covers both cookies and local storage, because the same consent requirement applies to each.
What is stored before you decide
No analytics or advertising cookie. Until you consent, every consent category is set to denied. We store only what is strictly necessary for the site to work, including the record of your decision — without which we could not stop asking you.
Full inventory
| Name | Type | Lifetime | Purpose | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
ivsr.consent.v1 |
local storage | until cleared | Stores your cookie decision and the date you made it. | not required |
ivsr-lang-suggest-dismissed |
local storage | until cleared | Remembers that you dismissed the suggestion to view the site in the other language, so it does not reappear. | not required |
_ga |
cookie | 2 years | Google Analytics 4: distinguishes visitors. | analytics |
_ga_GLWS711GQH |
cookie | 2 years | Google Analytics 4: session state for this property. | analytics |
The two local storage entries never travel to our server; they are read only in your browser. The _ga cookies are set by Google and are set only after your consent.
Consent mode (Google consent mode v2)
We use the advanced implementation of Google's consent mode. In practice that means:
- The Google tag loads on every page, but all four consent categories (
analytics_storage,ad_storage,ad_user_data,ad_personalization) are denied by default. - While consent is denied, Google sets no cookie and cannot recognise your device.
- In that state Google nevertheless receives an anonymous page-view signal carrying no identifiers, which it uses to estimate overall traffic volume. The signal is flagged as denied (
gcs=G100) and sent without personalisation (npa=1). - Once you consent, Google sets the cookies listed above and visits are measured normally.
We say this explicitly because it is a real distinction: the advanced mode sends a signal to Google even before you decide, albeit without cookies and without identifiers. To prevent that as well, see "Full control" below.
Advertising
There is no advertising tag installed on this site. The advertising-related categories stay denied, and we do not even offer them as a choice, because no tag on the site would use them.
Bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile)
The contact page runs Cloudflare Turnstile, which tells humans from bots and so protects the form against abuse. It is a strictly necessary security function, so it requires no consent and is neither in the cookie banner nor in the table above — like the site's other strictly necessary functions. Turnstile may store a short-lived technical token (a cookie or equivalent) in your browser strictly to run the check; it is not used for tracking or profiling. Processing details are in the Privacy policy.
How to change or withdraw consent
Choose Privacy settings in the footer of any page. You can change your decision at any time; withdrawal takes effect going forward and does not affect the lawfulness of processing before it. On withdrawal we immediately signal to Google that consent is denied; cookies already set can be removed in your browser settings.
Full control
- Browser settings: you can delete or block cookies at any time, and the same applies to local storage (usually found under "site data").
- Google's add-on: the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on prevents your browser from sending data to Google Analytics on any website.
- Blocking the domain: if you block
googletagmanager.com, the Google tag never loads at all. The website works normally without it.
